Tomorrow Helge Hellberg’s new radio show, An Organic Conversation, will feature Mark Mulcahy, a natural foods industry consultant, and Jennifer Brower, a chef and nutrition counselor. They will dish on sweet potatoes and giving back (to yourself as well as others) during the holidays. You can hear the live show in the San Francisco Bay Area at 10am PST on Green960am or streaming online nationally at Green960.com. If you can’t catch the live version, episodes will be uploaded to An Organic Conversation.

The host of An Organic Conversation, Hellberg, went from a successful musician in Germany to a marketing manager for Wild Oats Markets in the U.S. to executive director of Marin Organic, a Marin, Calif.-based innovative association of organic producers dedicated to creating the first organic county in the nation. In 2009, Hellberg launched An Organic Conversation to discuss today’s healthy living challenges and solutions.

How had I not heard of this program or Hellberg before today? Radio plus conversations about healthy living equals my two favorite things combined. Listen in and let me know what you think of the show below.

Re: Tune in to An Organic Conversation

I love this show! I download the podcasts from itunes to hear them again while hiking or driving. . .seriously! It brings so much together at once. . . feeds my heart and my head. Right, Pamela - An Organic Conversation and this Helge guy are why I listen to radio. . . he reminds me that there are people in the media who can pull it ALL together.

This is a beautiful show that sheds a broad light on so many different aspects of the sustainability movement. As encouraging as it is empowering; Helge's voice is a sane, responsible one that brings dignity to the conversation. Thank you for getting the word out on this unique and important show!

Re: Tune in to An Organic Conversation

I gave up my Saturday morning ritual of listening to Car Talk, to listen to an Organic Conversation. I still love you Click and Clack - but now it's all about Helge.

This is an unique way to learn in depth about a variety of topics. I learned more about how artisanal cheese is really special (I already knew how good it tasted) and the character of the people interviewd. Good job, Helge!

Re: Tune in to An Organic Conversation

Helge offers a real and authentic voice to what is needed in the food movement today. It's positive and inspiring, a breathe of fresh air among the more common dialog that you hear today. When I can't listen to it live on Saturday mornings (I have two small kids and an active family life) I make sure to tune in via podcast. Very convenient.

Re: Tune in to An Organic Conversation

With all the information out there about "green" and "sustainability" it can sometimes be difficult to discern where to put your energy and resources. In his show "An Organic Conversation" Helge Hellberg has refreshingly put it all into perspective for me. As I listen to his show, I am reminded of what I can do the be part of a growing movement, and how to be sustainable about "sustainability." Hellberg is full of hope and light, amidst the noise of "should" and "don't." Thanks for the recommendation!

How very refreshing to find a show such as An Organic Conversation in today's world. Helga's approach, sensitivity and positivity are rarely seen or heard these days. And gosh, do I adore his voice. So cool. I love this show! L. Sulani
